Norwich shares recover ground:

Norwich Union shares recovered some ground in London yesterday, rising 6 1/2p to 325p in a continuing weak market. The shares opened slightly better at 319p and dealt as high as 329p during the day before slipping back to close at 325p. Stockbrokers in Dublin said share dealing volumes were still relatively low with many of Norwich Union's 150,000 shareholders still waiting to receive their shares.

The shares will be issued next week.
