EDDIE Shanahan celebrated his birthday with a bang this week when he launched his company, The Agency, into the largely unexplored frontier of cyberspace - the first Irish model agency to have its own World Wide Web site.
Models Laura Bermingham, Vivienne Connolly, Alison Canavan, Mary Grimes and Ali Phelan welcomed guests into their web in the Internet Exchange Cale. They were joined by fashion designers Richard Lewis, Cuan Hanly and Louise Kennedy, RTE's Tom Kelly, Catherine Condell from Brown Thomas, PROs Caroline Kennedy and Paddy Bollard.
The Web site was designed and developed by Internet Ireland, and there will soon be an Irish Fashion Net site bringing together designers, retailers, manufacturers and distributors to help promote our fashion industry around the world.
