SUSAN O'MARA of Dublin Wheelers had a good win in the two day race for women promoted by her own club and sponsored by TQ Papers.

At the finish outside Dublin Airport yesterday, O'Mara had seven seconds to spare over Ruth Ellway of Milton Keynes, with Geraldine Gill (Navan), best of the rest of the 27 finishers, over four minutes in arrears.

At the end of Saturday's opening stage of 48 miles, O'Mara beat Ellway, with Gill third at 12 seconds. In the following time trial over 1.2 miles, O'Mara was fastest by a second from Gill, with Ellway another six seconds slower.
