Ardscoil Rís 6 Castletroy College 3: Ardscoil Rís continued their great sporting season with a hard-earned win at Dooradoyle.

Their hurlers are in action in the All-Ireland A Colleges semi-final on Saturday, but this tie looked destined for a replay when Castletroy were awarded a penalty for a high tackle two minutes from the end.

Replacement Stephen Power lined up the penalty 22 yards out, but after deliberation, the touch judges did not raise their flags as the effort curled inches wide.

Ardscoil went in front after seven minutes when Stephen Fitzgerald landed the first of his two penalties, for a scrum infringement.
