CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ROUND UP - GROUP C:Lionel Messi scored a brilliant chipped winner four minutes into stoppage time to give Barcelona a 2-1 victory away to Shakhtar Donetsk.

Brazilian winger Ilsinho put Shakhtar ahead in the first half, but Messi equalised in the 87th minute and then hit the winner.

Sporting picked up their first points when they beat FC Basel 2-0 with goals from their Argentine playmaker Leandro Romagnoli and veteran striker Derlei.

Barcelona lead the group with six points. Sporting are on three while Shakhtar and the Swiss side remain pointless.

GROUP B:Claudio Pizarro grabbed Werder Bremen's equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Inter Milan. Inter had taken the lead on 13 minutes when Brazilian right back Maicon chipped goalkeeper Tim Wiese after running on to a loose ball following some sloppy Werder defending.

Anorthosis Famagusta registered their first win in the group stages when they beat Greek side Panathinaikos 3-1 thanks to an own goal from the Panathinaikos defender Jose Sarriegi and goals from Sinisa Dobrasinovic and Hawar Taher.

Dimitris Salpigidis scored a penalty for Panathinaikos.

GROUP A:Two goals by substitute Julio Baptista helped AS Roma win 3-1 at 10-man Bordeaux.

Bordeaux scored through Yoann Gourcuff on 18 minutes but had defender Henrique sent off for elbowing on 36 minutes.

Roma levelled with a header by Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic after 64 minutes. Striker Baptista netted from a free kick seven minutes later before sealing victory from close range seven minutes from time.

GROUP D:Sergio Aguero scored his third goal in two Champions League games to help Atletico Madrid beat Olympique Marseille 2-1. The 20-year-old Argentine stole in between two defenders before calmly beating goalkeeper Steve Mandanda on four minutes.

Mamadou Niang headed a goal for Marseille after 16 minutes but Atletico's Raul Garcia sealed the win six minutes later.
