Not exactly ideal conditions but Saturday's 11th Captain's Prize for the Jones Society in Clane, Co Kildare, was a hard fought affair. In a torrential downpour at Killeen Golf Course the showpiece of captain Ted Murray's year was won by former captain Seamus Malone with 37 points. That completed a memorable year as the 11 handicapper also took the President's prize back in June and the much coveted Player of the Year award. A unique treble that is bound to have the handicappers revising their thoughts on Mr Malone.
