ALL IRELAND League holders Shannon provided five of the players in yesterday's victorious Limerick RTC side that romped home to a 44-18 victory over College of Commerce, Cork in the Ascent Shield cup final.
Limerick made the most of a strong first half breeze and, although falling behind to a Barry O'Brien try after just five minutes, took control with Shannon backs, Alan McGrath and Andrew Thompson proving too pacey for their Cork counterparts.
