Blackrock College outhalf Emmet Farrell's dreadful misfortune in picking up yet another knee injury and one that will keep him out for the rest of the season means that Leinster are now a little light on outhalf cover, especially as the second choice behind Australian Nathan Spooner, Andy Dunne, is nursing a chipped bone in his ankle.

It was with this in mind that Bective Rangers' Fergal Campion was considered for the trial match against Munster in Ballinakill. Girvan Dempsey, Leinster's full back, would be another alternative if any mishap befalls Spooner.
