BRITISH OPEN champion Tom Lehman fired a two under par 34 in Hawaii yesterday to win the PGA Grand Slam of Goff, edging out fellow American Steve Jones by two strokes.

Lehman captured the $400,000 top prize in the four player $1,000,000 showdown matching champions of this year's major tournaments.

The two day event featured 27 holes on Wednesday after Tuesday's scheduled first round was rained out. Lehman completed the event at 10 under par 134 and birdied the final hole to seal the triumph.

Jones, the US Open winner, played the back nine yesterday in one under par 35 to finish at 136, taking home second place money of $250,000. Britain's Nick Faldo, the Masters winner, fired a two over 38 to finish third at 139 and collect $200,000.
