Knockbeg ease into decider

Leinster SF A Semi-final/ Knockbeg 2-10 St Mel's 1-4:Carlow's Knockbeg defeated St Mel's of Longford by nine points at Tullamore.

Depsite playing against the wind, the Carlow side raced into a 1-4 to no score lead, their goal coming from Donie Kingston. However, just before half-time, Michael Quinn pounced to net a rebound to leave the score 1-6 to 1-2.

Brian O'Neill stretched Knockbeg's lead early in the second half with another goal, which ended the match as a contest.
