DAVID KIBET, the formidable Kenyan athlete, will head the visiting challenge for the 1,500 metres event, one of the centrepieces of Saturday's Cork City Sports at the Mardyke.

Kibet will be joined by the American, Steve Agar who has career best figures of 3 mins 35 sees, Matthew Yates (Britain) and the Swiss athlete, Thomas Souter.

Their presence will guarantee demanding assignments for the two big home hopes, Niall Bruton and Mark Carroll, both available again after withdrawing from the recent European Cup meet.
