IRELAND are set to meet emerging Bangladesh in the 14 nation men's hockey World Cup preliminary qualifying tournament in Cagliari, Sardinia, from September 29th-October 12th. This will be the first international between the two countries. Also in Pool B will be old rivals Poland, whom Ireland beat 4-3 for fifth place in last year's European Championship in Dublin. The US, who drew 0-0 with the new look Irish squad in Barcelona in May, are also in this group along with Kenya, Scotland and hosts Italy.
