FORMER Republic of Ireland and Celtic goalkeeper Packie Bonner officially launched the Finn Harps share issue at a function in Ballybofey last night.

Describing the event as an "historic occasion", he predicted that a tremendous future awaits the fans of the Donegal Club.

He also bought the first share in the new Finn Harps Co Operative Society Ltd. Shares are now on sale at £250 each.

The club also unveiled plans for an £800,000 redevelopment programme at Finn Park.
