In the only two Leinster first division games of the weekend Genesis and Corinthian had expected victories over Three Rock and Railway Union.
An Anna O'Loughlin hat-trick gave Genesis the points in a 3-0 win, while goals from Judy Muldowney and Suzanne Murphy gave Corinthian a 2-1 victory over Railway.
Caroline Sharkey's hat-trick against Clontarf maintained Loreto II's six-point lead at the top of the second division, where second-placed Old Alexandra II stayed in touch with the leaders by beating Muckross 3-1, with two of their goals coming from Tracey Skoyles.
The Irish development squad, meanwhile, trained over the weekend, but did so without Pembroke Wanderers' Katherine Little, who has withdrawn from the panel due to work and study commitments.
