Leinster Under-19 19 Munster Under-19 8:A FAST 13-point start enabled Leinster to move, and stay, ahead of Munster on an immaculate surface at Donnybrook yesterday. Outhalf David Godfrey benefited from a solid platform to kick penalties in the fourth and 24th minutes. In between, scrumhalf Niall Casey placed the ball for the opening try.

Munster appeared energised by lock Tom Goggin’s yellow card for a challenge on wing Daniel Diviney as fullback Jack Murray struck a penalty when outhalf Peter Murray was held up short.

But that was as good as it got for them with replacement Keith McManus’s late try consolation .
