Fans seek investors

Everton fans met in the City of London yesterday in an attempt to lure investors to the club.

Blue chip Evertonians have launched a partnership called `Investors in Everton' which they hope will help secure the club's rise back to the top in the next century.

After a decade escaping relegation and squabbling in the boardroom, Everton supporters want to see their beloved club turn the corner.

These fans visited the City of London to try and convince other professional Toffees supporters that together they can play a part in a bright future for the club.

Experts in football finance, who addressed the meeting, insisted there was no reason why the Merseyside club couldn't return to the top of the tree despite debts nearing £20-million.
