It was 20-0 at half-time thanks to tries from Denis Earle, Shane Jordan and Martin Doyle, while Jordan also kicked one conversion and a penalty.

The pattern continued after the break when impressive out-half Nicky Murphy got in for a try and the best score of the game came five minutes later from James Dobbs. He gathered the ball on his own 22, and ran the length of the field before touching down in the opposite corner. Doyle landed both conversions.
