Donegal must do without Monaghan

BARRY MONAGHAN will be missing from the Donegal squad for tonight’s National Football League Division Two clash with Meath at Ballybofey after deciding to take a break from the county set-up.

The 31-year-old – who made his debut for Donegal in 2000 – has opted out because of the demands of the county scene, although he hasn’t ruled out returning at a later date.

Meanwhile, Hurling for Haiti, a fund-raising coaching day organised by Kilkenny, will be held on April 10th in St Kieran’s College.

Among those giving the courses will be All-Ireland winning manager Brian Cody and Wexford legend George O’Connor. Attendance costs €30.
