Diego feels the crunch

Diego Armando Maradona Junior, the 14-year-old son of Big Diego (who has never recognised the lad even though DNA tests in 1993 proved he was his son) played in a training game for the Italian under-17 squad against the senior Italian side recently. How'd it go? His older team-mates rarely passed him the ball and he eventually limped off after an ugly tackle-from-behind by Rino Gattuso. Asked after how he rated little Diego Italian coach Giovanni Trapattoni replied: "Just that: little." Poor lad.
