Corofin won their fourth Galway senior football championship of the 1990s with a golden oldie triumph at Tuam Stadium yesterday. The two brightest stars of their hard-earned, but deserved, win over Dunmore were top scorer Eddie Steede, who is 34, and 39-year-old powerful corner back, Ollie Burke.

It was 0-4 to 0-3 in favour of Corofin at half-time, which did not reflect their superiority in almost all sectors and it was not until the closing stages of the game that they made victory secure.
