Munster Under-21 FC Semi-finals: Cork swept Tipperary aside at the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday, winning by 4-14 to 1-6. An injury-time goal from Patrick Hurney helped Waterford to a 1-8 to 0-7 victory over Clare at Dungarvan in the other semi-final.
Cork had the issue safe by the interval, by which time they had a comfortable 2-8 to 0-2 advantage. John Hayes scored their first goal from a penalty on 20 minutes and Paul Kerrigan claimed the second.
Brian Mulvihill scored a consolation goal for Tipperary seven minutes after the break but Cork remained in control and late goals from Kerrigan and Roy Leahy ensured they reached yet another decider.
Waterford laid the foundation for their victory in the opening half when, despite playing against a strong wind, they went in at the break at 0-3 each.
They made a great start to the second half when they scored three points in a four-minute spell to lead by 0-6 to 0-3.
Points were exchanged before Clare scored three unanswered points to level the game with 12 minutes remaining.
The closing period saw two scores recorded, both to Waterford, the first a 53rd minute point from Killian O'Keeffe before Hurney fisted the ball to the net.
