The Heineken Club Cup final at Gort turned into a family affair last week when Gerry Cooney and his son Colman met in the decider. . Both long serving members of the Connacht club, they produced some excellent golf on the day but experience won out with father Gerry taking his first club title. It was an outstanding achievement for the Cooneys to reach the final out of a starting field of 200.
