Cashel Community School have made it to the second round of the Munster Junior Cup following a 20-0 win over Limerick's St Nessan's at Cashel yesterday.

Making the best of the wind advantage in the first half, the Tipperary boys stamped their authority on the game.

Left winger Ryan O'Dwyer went over for a try early on and the lead was increased through Gary Gillespie with James McCarthy landing the conversion. Just before the half-time whistle, outhalf McCarthy kicked a penalty.

St Nessan's tried their best to reduce the arrears on the resumption but Cashel stood firm and added to their tally five minutes from time when the captain and number eight Brendan Roth crashed over for another try.

The other Junior Cup tie, involving St Ailbes and Colaiste Mhuire, Crosshaven, scheduled for Clanwilliam yesterday, was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
