UCD endured some tense moments at the Carlisle Grounds yesterday and in the end were happy to settle for a share of the spoils in atrocious conditions.

With just young striker Glen Fitzpatrick, operating up front in the second half, the students invited Bray to attack their goal after the break.

This, however, proved at times a dangerous exercise for Theo Dunne's men who currently lie in a healthy mid-table position. And only the woodwork deprived Bray of a much needed win when Mick Doohan connected with a Ray Kenny cross from the right with around five minutes to go.

Which is not to suggest that this was all one way traffic. UCD used the ball intelligently when they had it, with Ciaran Kavanagh in fine form.
