BORO VACATION, whose long term target is the Galway Plate, makes his handicap debut in the William Neville & Sons Handicap Chase at Wexford this evening and has every chance of making it four in a row over fences.

The seven year old looked a two mile specialist when recording wins over the minimum trip at Tramore and Thurles but, stepped up to today's trip of 2 1/2 miles at Roscommon recently, he again made every yard of the running to beat the useful Heist by an easy to lengths with Monday's Kilbeggan winner Mile A Minute another 20 lengths behind.

The Paddy Mullins trained seven year old may have most to fear from former Galway Plate winner Bold Flyer, which recently returned from a 12 month absence to win a moderate event at Navan. Now a 13 year old, this veteran may struggle to stay in touch with the trail blazing Boro Vacation.

The two flat races on the Wexford card are uninspiring events although Woodren stands out in the Smirnoff Vodka Maiden. Whitethroat, the dam of Woodren, is a half sister to such Classic stayers as Assert, Bikala and Eurobird so there is every possibility that John Oxx's charge will come into her own over middle distances.

At Down Royal, Zabargar would be a deserving winner of the Belfast Vintners Maiden Hurdle, having finished third but called home fourth by the judge at Fairyhouse on Wednesday.

The error was corrected by the Turf Club yesterday morning but too late for punters who backed the 5 to 1 chance for a place or included it in Trio combinations.

. Chris Dwyer, in his first full season as a trainer, is aiming to be double handed in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 19th.

Newmarket based Dwyer plans to run his unbeaten pair, Connemara and Jennelle, both dual scorers.

Connemara, a six length winner at Warwick on her debut, went on to land an impressive success in the Lily Agnes Stakes at Chester, while Jennelle has registered creditable victories at Folkestone and Thirsk.
