AIRTRICITY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION Derry City 0 Bohemians 0:BOHEMIANS supporters insisted last night's goalless draw at the Brandywell would not be the last for the Dalymount club.
Following the final whistle a group of the club’s supporters unfurled a banner in the centre of the Derry pitch proclaiming: “This isn’t the end!”
While the blustery wind spoiled the match as a spectacle, the only disappointment was the producing of two red cards after the final whistle for what appeared to be an off-the-ball incident.
Referee Tomás Connolly, sent off Bohemians substitute Christy Fagan and Derry defender Emmet Friars, having consulted with his linesman.
But credit to both sides for their endeavour in the difficult conditions and, given the balance of the play, it was probably a fair result in the end. Both sides created scoring chances with the lively Aidan Downes a constant threat for Bohemians.
