Kehoe Cup/ DIT 0-13 Meath 2-6: Substitute Kieran Bergin was DIT's hero as the students pulled off a shock by knocking holders Meath out of the Kehoe Cup at Páirc Tailteann, Navan, yesterday.
Bergin replaced Martin Phelan, who had picked up a yellow card after contributing four points to his side's 0-6 to 0-5 interval advantage, and scored six second-half points.
Meath looked as if they would repeat last term's semi-final win over the college side with second-half goals from Aengus Mulvihill, but they were undone by two late points from Bergin.
