London Irish and former Blackrock out-half Steve Bachop has been named Allied Dunbar/Rugby World player of the month for December.

Overseas signing Bachop has proved instrumental in plotting Irish's climb up the Premiership One league table, forging a quality half-back partnership with South African Kevin Putt.
