Armagh were so superior in terms of fitness, technique and application that fans might well have left Davitt Park, Lurgan at half-time in this match. By that stage Armagh led by 410 to 0-2, their goals having come via John Campbell, Ger Houlahan - who had two typical opportunist strikes - and a well-struck penalty from Cathal O'Rourke. It was only when Armagh took their foot off the accelerator that Antrim managed to put a slight semblance of respectability on the scoreline when Terry McCrudden whipped in a superb goal following a quickly-taken free and Ciaran O'Neill tucked away a penalty three minutes from the end.
