Last night US president Donald Trump announced a raft of tariffs against America’s largest trading partners – including Ireland.
He says the move is to correct years of “unfair” trade with countries that have been “ripping off” America.
His intention to impose what he has called “reciprocal tariffs” has been clear for months – but not the details. Now we know.
