Sir, - Any chance we could do away with the phrase "the polluter pays" with regard to householders? Even the Blessed Frank McDonald is at it now. Surely "polluters" are the dumpers of effluent in rivers, the clients of illegal dumps, even the droppers of rubbish on the street, not us unfortunate careful re-cyclers and obeyers of every dictat from Big Brother Corporation as to what day, time and precise position we should place our "wheelies".
Mine wasn't emptied three times in as many months. Perhaps I didn't align it correctly with City Hall? - Yours, etc.,
