Madam, - Since Myles na gCopaleen aka Flann O’Brien aka Brian O’Nolan was famously more than one person, surely John O’Byrne’s suggestion (February 13th) that Archbishop Ryan Park be named Brian O’Nolan Park needs amendment? Perhaps we need to create a trinity of parks, unholy as that might be, but surely superior to a single park named for a prelate, to do justice to this remarkable Irish scribe and wit whose prolix satire endures and continuously delights.
Should the parks contain a pond, then we could also have At Swim-Two-Birds for an ongoing live commemoration of this unique Irishman. – Yours, etc,
