A chara, – I found the letter of Dr John Doherty of Donegal (January 12th) suggesting he had mixed emotions to hear Limerick had been inadvertently wiped off the Google map very hurtful. I wonder how well Dr Doherty knows my beautiful and much-loved city? Dr Doherty wrote from the north of Donegal – some considerable distance from the home I love.
Is Dr Doherty yet another victim of the media portrayal of Limerick? If so perhaps Dr Doherty could pay us a visit and make up his own mind.
