Manners on the bus

Sir, – I’m recovering from a broken foot and so have been using Dublin Bus to get in and out of work.

Unfortunately I haven’t been so lucky in securing a seat while on the bus. Gone are the days of fellow passengers offering a seat to those less able, as it seems the content of their smartphones is more interesting that lifting their heads to notice what is going on in the real world.

We are known worldwide for our friendliness and generosity, but it seems these traits are being lost as technology eats away at our lives. – Yours, etc,
