Madam, - Your Editorial on the Hungarian Uprising (October 24th) omits to mention the historical fact that "Radio Free Europe", the instigator of the rebellion, was, and is, a CIA front organisation.
This radio station also promised the protesters that US military help was on its way. None came. This betrayal is still quite a raw nerve in Hungry and eastern Europe. - Yours, etc,
