Housing fundamentals

Sir, – The ESRI economists are telling us that the housing market fundamentals are fine (“No bubble in Irish property market, ESRI study finds”, News, November 14th).

The last time economists kept telling us the fundamentals were fine was during the lead-up to the crash. Beware of economists bearing fundamentals! – Yours, etc,
