Madam, – Why does the Taoiseach persist in using the term “going forward” when it is abundantly clear that he has been going backwards, and dragging the economy with him, for some time?

In years to come, we may speak nostalgically of the years from Alan Dukes and his Tallaght Strategy in 1987 to the arrival of Brian Cowen to the Department of Finance in 2004, and refer to them as the period AD to BC.

Where will we end up if we give Mr Cowen any more time? – Yours, etc,
