Sir, - Kevin Courtney states in his singles review (Arts, February 13th) that the Dilated People's new single is a worthy successor to the Fugees' Ready or Not.
Since the Fugees' record was released in 1996, is the reader to deduce that there hasn't been a quality hip-hop record in the intervening six years? Please give some credit to a musical genre that has retained a loyal fan base in Ireland without ever becoming a passing fad. - Yours, etc.,
