Sir, – You report no doubt accurately on the ESRI’s fears of Dublin dominance and the lack of regional balance in our country (Business News, January 24th).
How revealing and fitting it was, therefore, that the only city or town referenced in the story was Dublin. The supreme metropolis merited 11 mentions. Cork, Limerick, Galway, Kilkenny, Sligo, Athlone and the rest of the undeserving poor were anonymously bundled as “second tier” cities.
