Madam, - I decided to enter the spirit of car-free day and travel by bus from home in Clane to a lunch with friends in Dublin. I duly presented myself for the 11.40 bus for the 45-minute journey.
It did not arrive. Neither did the 12.10 service.
At 12.25, a bus arrived and the driver announced it would not be leaving for another 15 minutes.
If Bus Éireann is holding bus-free days, would it be kind enough to warn us so we can make appropriate arrangements? - Yours, etc,
