Sir, – Minister for Finance Michael Noonan (Home News, July 7th) tells us that, “We cannot believe the banks; we cannot believe what they say.” Yet our Government throws debt-distressed citizens to the mercy of these deceitful and disingenuous institutions by giving them a veto on participation in the debt resolution processes of the Insolvency Bill.
