Sir, – For a special, but different, treat on Mother’s Day my daughter brought me to the Cardiff City v Chelsea match in Cardiff on Sunday.
While in the stadium I ordered a beef pie, which was delicious! I was delighted and surprised to find that it was served in cardboard and the accompanying fork was made of cane. So simple! It’s not just the schools which should be eliminating plastic (“Irish schools are going plastic-free – but are parents ready?”, News, April 2nd. Everyone should be making more of an effort. – Yours, etc,
