Sir, – Having always believed The Irish Timesreporting to be of a high standard of accuracy and literacy, I am puzzled by the apparent inaccuracies shown (from information supplied, perhaps?) in your Census report (Home News, June 30th). 20,635 people got married in 2010.
Assuming this needs two people to be involved, this gives us 10,317½ weddings. Was somebody left at the altar? Something similar is shown for 2009. Did the two halves get together? – Yours, etc,
