A chara, – Recent articles by Johnny Watterson (“Olympic champion Paul O’Donovan has no interest in celebrity, only winning”, Sport, August 22nd) and Ian O’Riordan have rightly identified Paul O’Donovan as not just our greatest Olympian but our greatest ever sportsperson. His achievements at European and World Championships and three Olympic Games bear testament to this and are matched only by his humility and humour.
