Sir, – Rev John FA Bond wonders if the new location for Church Notes, alongside the racing results, imply that the church is a non-runner or an also-ran (Letters, June 8th).
I think not. It may mean that the race is yet being run, the church is race-fit, and the runners, riders and the spectators keep turning up.
All is not lost, though the going is often “heavy”, but just as often “firm”. – Yours, etc,
