Sir, – In the latest Irish Times/Ipsos B&A Snapshot poll, some 22 per cent of respondents refer to immigration as their first concern compared with just 4 per cent who are vexed about the Israel and Palestine conflict (“Housing and immigration trump healthcare in public mindset”, News, February 26th).
From the quantity and tenor of coverage off both issues in the Irish media, one might be forgiven for assuming that those percentages would be reversed. Perhaps this helps explain the loss of public trust in journalism today? – Yours, etc,
