Sir, – Conor Pope writes about soaring prices in our retail outlets (“Deregulation keeps prices inexplicably high’”, Your Money, April 29th).
This occurs in one of my local supermarkets where most items have two prices. You pay one inflated price per item while there is the option to pay a lower price if you have a store card.
A store card comes at a price, however – the divulging of one’s personal information along with one’s spending patterns and choice of products. No thanks. – Yours, etc,
