Sir, – In 1981, 48 young people died in the Stardust fire, more than 200 were injured.
Lives were lost and families changed forever. How long have the bereaved waited to tell their story and find answers?
I was 14 years old in 1981. My grandmother was ill and referred to the Mater hospital at that time. My dad, now deceased, always remembered waiting there for her, the acrid smell of smoke, the panic, the sadness.
