A 16-year-old youth has been arrested in Limerick and is being questioned in relation to the death of a girl in the city three months ago.

The arrest was made in the Rathkeale area of the city at 5 p.m. today. He is being held in Roxboro Garda Station under Section 4 of the Offences Against the State Act. He can be held for 12 hours.

In early May, Tanya Noonan (17) was knocked down and killed by a stolen Honda Civic on Mulgrave Street.

Three youths have already appeared in court on charges relating to the incident.
