Gardaí have named a woman who has died following a hit-and-run accident in Killaloe, Co Clare in the early hours of Sunday.
She was Ms Siobhan Doyle (28) from Newport, Co Tipperary.
The Garda said three women were struck by a car at Black Road, Newport, Co Tipperary, on Sunday morning at 3 a.m. The car failed to stop at the scene.
The women were taken to Limerick Regional Hospital. Two of them were released after treatment, but Ms Doyle had serious head injuries and has since died, a Garda statement said.
"Gardai have interviewed a person in connection with this incident and located a car they believe was involved. Investigations are continuing."
